NIPT, known as non-invasive prenatal testing is a blood test that screens for certain chromosomal conditions such as Edwards’ syndrome, Down’s syndrome and Patau’s syndrome. This test analyses small fragments of your baby’s DNA which is found in your blood. It’s a safe screening option with no risk to your pregnancy.
We also provide early gender blood tests if you would like to find out if your baby is male or female; so you don’t have to wait until you have an ultrasound scan. You receive early knowledge to show if you are having a girl or a boy.
Both blood tests are carried out at our luxury clinic in Wigan using a blood sample. Our team will explain the process clearly when you arrive for your appointment and we will answer your questions.

Baby Scan and Beyond is easy to reach from Liverpool. Wigan town centre offers convenient access by both train and by car. Trains run direct from Liverpool Lime Street to Wigan, with the fastest journeys taking around 28 minutes and services are frequent throughout the day. By car, Wigan is around 20 miles from Liverpool and usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
